About Concerts-in-the-Park

Belvedere Concert-in-the-Park
Committee enjoying June concert 2014

IN 1996 the City of Belvedere built a gazebo in the center of the park adjacent to City Hall in honor of the 100th anniversary of the city's incorporation. Two years later a group of citizens banded together to put on a series of free summer concerts in the park using the Gazebo as a stage. Thus, Belvedere Concerts-in-the-Park was born.

From the very first concert it has been a roaring success. Each summer has featured four diverse concerts, with attendance ranging from 400 to as many as 800. It's a wonderful way for local families to enjoy Sunday with a picnic, music, dancing, and a chance to see old friends as well as make new ones.

Funds for musicians, sound and stage equipment, and printing and publicity are contributed by the Belvedere Community Foundation, the City of Belvedere, and over a hundred local individuals and businesses.
